About Us

History

Created in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic, CISS is a result of partnership between Business Initiative Support Services (BISS) and Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) to promote housekeeping best practices across VCH Contracted and Private Long-Term Care (LTC) and Assisted Living (AL) homes. The goal was to ensure these homes would be better positioned to mitigate the risk of outbreaks and reduce outbreak severity and duration.

Due to the success of this program, CISS expanded its scope to also support the acute sites and owned and operated LTC & AL homes across VCH. Now known as EVS VCH
